89 Civic. I left with car radio on for two days. When I tried the engine,
no sound. The headlight is on but it's bit low. I checked the battery voltage it's about 8.25V. I tried the jump. It did not work. Did the battery totally dead? What shall I do? Can I recharge to make it full? Or shall I just get a new one? |

If it's not frozen, put a charger on it for several hours. If it's a 3 amp trickle charger, overnight would be better. If the battery is already 5 years old, go to store. Your car should have started with a boost. You have other problems, like a tune-up is needed, frozen gas line, or oil too thick. Read you user's manual for tips on starting in extreme cold. The manual is the final authority on such matters. 'curly' =============== |
