Hi,
I am going to send in my 96 Civic for 60,000 miles service, maybe including timing belt change. I live in north Jersey, could anyone please tell me which dealership or Honda specialized auto shop will do the decent job for reasonable price? As someone who does not know much about automobile, I prefer to have dealer to do the service, is it a good idea? Thanks for reading and I appreciate any advice. -Tong |

You can try http://cartalk.cars.com/About/Garage/mechan-x/find.html
It's a search engine at Car Talk's site, where people write in what mechanics in their area they've had luck with. You go in with your zip code and how many miles max. the shop can be from this zip code, and it lists shops. If you are going to an independent shop, I'd definitely make sure it was Honda-specialized, based on my experience. |

I found DCH Paramus Honda in Paramus, NJ, right off Route 4, to be extremely
reliable and trustworthy. Their prices are those of a dealership, obviously, but that is the only downside. Ask for Darren as your service advisor -- he won't be anything more than helpful, polite, and respectful. - Brian |
