In the future, I would like to upgrade the alternator on my 99 Accord 2.3
4banger to power my stereo better. I see a lot of high current alts for the 3.0 V6, but very few for the 2.3 4Cyl. I assume the 3.0 Alts wont fit on the 2.3... Are there any others which will fit? Back when I had a Toyota Tacoma, I had heard that some people could make an alternator from an old domestic car, like an old Chevy, fit with very little modification, and they were able to increase their current supply very cheaply by a visit to the salvage yard. Really, I would like to get at least 140 Amps for 150 bucks. Any suggestions? It seems most of the high current amps for the Accors are over 250! |
