An SE is a base model and an EX has alum. wheels, 4 discs, sunroof, cruise,
etc.. If you combine parts from each model, would you have an s-ex?

The SE is never a base model. In 83, 85, 89, 91, and 93 it was the top of
the line. Starting in 97 and in all later versions the Accord SE is like
the value package. They take an LX (middle of the road) and add all of the
popular options people bought, like CD player, floor mats, and keyless
entry.
