I am so psyched. I just bought a 2004 Pilot LX. The only problem is that I
have to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery. :O(
Is it true that they are built in Alabama?
Anyone aware of how fast Honda's make it from Alabama to New England? When
Honda gives a 2-3 week timetable for delivery, do they usually deliver
faster or slower than they estimate?
Sorry for sounding like a little kid at Christmas, but my Villager minivan
is on its last leg. I hope it will last for a few more weeks.

He could be getting your car from another dealer, for one.

He must be mistaken. IIRC, BMW X5 and Mercedes ML are built in Alabama.
Hyundai is building a very large plant there now. But Pilot/MDX are built
in Canada. Most Lexus RX330 too.

The salesman did say that our Pilot was "on the assembly line". I had read
that the town in Canada where the plant is located is called Alliston. Maybe
he was misinformed and thought it was Alabama instead of Alliston? I don't
know, I guess I will just need to practice patience. This is going to be the
longest 2-3 weeks of my life.:O)

Congrats on your fine purchase! I know how you feel :-) Pilot is,
along with the Odyssey and Acura's MDX, is made in Ontario, Canada.
You should check out www.hondapilot.org. There, you can search for
info on how to get your dealer to track the builing process of your
Pilot, if your Pilot is being indeed built to order. If your Pilot's
coming from another dealer, then that's another matter.

You can even get your dealer to call you up with the VIN of your newly
built Pilot. Seeing how you're in New England, the delivery should be
more expeditious than say if it were coming from Alabama.
