Can you read? 13.8 is fast for any four cylinder. Care to name another stock four cylinder that can run in the 13s? Try reading slower next time. > Fast begins at 11.99 and > lower. Not for a stock four cylinder. Its obvious it is *you* that has an apparent lapse in track knowledge. > > > > Now are there faster cars? Honda doesn't even have a dedicated commercial for the S. Is that why you bought an Accord instead of a Camry? LOL

There are so many Accords around, because they have superior reliability, dependability, and are the best value for the superb quality that you get with any Honda. I bought my Accord, not to stand alone as a sports car, but rather an every day car and commuter. It figures that needed to be explained to you. Now the reason there are so many Mustangs around, is because its a cheap unrefined V8. This is why young kids choose this car. These cars are unreliable, and have limited longevity. And when those young kids grow up, they will look at their sports car needs differently. They will want a "true" sports car. One that is refined, and of high quality. They will want a sports car that is virtually track-ready right out of the box. They will want individuality. They will want attention to detail. They will want true white-knuckle fun... They will want cars like S2000s... [huge smile] Take care Mikey, and good luck in life. -- '03 S2000 '94 Accord It's just about going fast...that's all... http://home.insight.rr.com/cgreen/ |

You are correct, buyers buy the vehicle that best suits their
needs and budget. In the price range of the Camry, Accord and Taurus they buy them in that order. Apparently more buyers choose the Camry because they believe it has superior reliability, dependability, and the best value for the superb quality over the Accord or the Ford. The kids buying Mustangs are buying the 21K V6 coupe, not the GT. The guys with 25/28K buy the GT coupe/convertible. If they have 33K they buy the 305 HP Mach I or 390 HP Cobra. The Mustang GT must outsell the S2000 by at least twenty to one. One can therefor only assume buyers believe the Mustang has superior reliability, dependability, and the best value for the superb quality over the S2000. After all that unrefined OHC SMEFI V8 GT will out perform the S2000 in every aspect and it does so at 3000 RPM's not at 6,000 RPM. If I were spending 33K for a Honda that performed adequately, I would buy the TL, at least it develops decent torque without winding it to 7K to get on the curve. In addition the TL has room to take along a few friends when on wants. Bye the way, Happy New Year, and I gotta go. And your wrong as well...the S2000 would tear up ANY mustang thru the twisties. > If I were spending 33K for a Honda that performed > adequately, I would buy the TL, at least it develops decent > torque without winding it to 7K to get on the curve. Again...apples and oranges. Only you would try to server your agenda, buy not comparing like automobiles. And only you are dumb enough to believe you would get away with it. Your an idiot. > In addition > the TL has room to take along a few friends when on wants. Two-seat sport cars have two seats for a reason you fool. i think some ppl find it fun to wind up the engine to hear an F1 like whine.
Some other ppl have the skill to wind it up and keep it in the range round curvy black ribbon. So, it's a matter of driving style too. But if laid back is prefered for everyday driving, torque low down is a good friend, like in the Mustang. "I would have beat you if I had an S2000" Honda should be commended for building the S2000 it's a nice car but it's just not that earth moving when comapred to other cars that are out there. Honda had the perfect opportunity to build a great roadster but like the NSX they chose the path less travelled and built just another high reving engine with a price tag to boot. > > Hmm...sounds like someone may be jealous to me. ![]() No jealousy here.
