Default 2004 Accord Leaks (help me please)

Bought a new Accord LX. Made in Japan. Top quality, right?
Wrong. Drove the car for the first time in the rain yesterday. Rear right-side passenger seat was soaked... I mean sodden! No moisture in the trunk, and windows were closed. So water must be coming up from below.

Anyone have any idea where/how the water might be getting in?

What a disappointment! Car has only 1,000 miles.

It is probably under warranty and as such don't even try to figure out what
it is. Just let the dealership worry about it. I used to fix water leaks
all the time at the Ford dealer. What a pain in the ass.

FYI Accords are made in Ohio, not Japan.

Not all Accords are made in Ohio. My '03 was made in Japan.

Actually the original poster stated that his was made in Japan. I
assume he is getting that information from the VIN.

Im the original poster. The car shipped from Saitama, Japan, so I assume it was manufactured there.

Anybody got any good ideas on where t-f the leak is coming from?

thanks.

You said it's the actual seat - the part you sit in, AKA squab? Assuming
it's a 4-door have you checked the obvious: installation and fit of the
rear door seals. Since it came from Japan, there may also be wax
protectant blocking the door drain holes - poke them with a piece of wire
to be sure they're clear. Have you checked in the trunk to see if there's
any water there?
