I have seen some posts where people have replaced their OEM 205/70/15
size tires with 225/70/15.

What are the real advantages of doing this?

Advantages: More grip with the road, better fuel economy on highway,
depending on transmission.

Disadvantages: Slower acceleration, less responsiveness of handling,
possible negation of fuel economy as the wider tires increase drag
co-efficient, traffic tickets as the speedo registers a slower speed
than actual by 4.2%
