I would like to know if there is a way of bypassing the code for the
the anti-theft radio for a 93 Accord. I changed the battery in the car and lost the power to the car. I have the code number, but one of preset buttons on the radio no longer works and is part of the code number. What can I do? |

Rob,
_If_ the button is just stuck because somebody spilled PEPSI in it, you can use a rag that's dripping wet with very warm water and wash the button. The sugar will dissolve and then you can repeat with a damp cloth to draw the wet stuff out. Button may stay fixed if you got all the sugar out, if not, at least you'll be able to get the CODE enteredbefore it dries again. I'm not talking about getting the switch part wet, just the chicklet part of the plastic pushbutton where it gets glued to the front bezel. If there was, it wouldn't be a very good anti-theft device.. ![]() Sorry, nothing really useful to say though.. You can get the radio out and re-coded with a new code which doesn't have
the busted number in it. But the radio needs a code to work. Or just pick up a new radio from a salvage yard.
