I noticed a noise from my new auto Civic 03. It happens when the car
starts rolling from a complete stop. Not sure what it is but everything seems to work OK. I asked at the dealer service dept and a mechanic said it was my auto transmission and the noise is normal. It does not sound good at all. Any suggestions? |

Maybe you're talking about the parking paw. It tends to clicks when rolling from a stop. |

I do not understand how anyone can consider it to be normal. Anyway to make a clicking parking paw quiet? |

Open the tranny right end cover, mount a rubber stop so it won't make a click. Try parking in nuetral with handbrakes? |

The click not only is heard shifting from Park but anytime I come to a full stop and then start rolling. Parking in neutral will help in this situation? |

So, the click occurs in NRND and shifting from P to NRND or rolling in DRN when coming a stop either forward or backward? Maybe a solenoid is engaging fluid when movement is detected? |
