Default Buick Marketing - Prelude owners?

Over the past couple of months and again just yesterday, I received an
elaborate and obviously expensive marketing packet containing a hefty
booklet and other junk from Buick touting their new Buick Rainier SUV. Even
had my full name. This is a badge engineered GMV Envoy in reality. The last
GM product I owned was a 71 Corvette aover 30 years ago and I now drive a
Prelude. My wife has a Pilot, which is the only connection I can possibly
see. Are they that desperate?

Yeah. It's the fifth flavor of it:
Chevrolet TrailBlazer
GMC Envoy
Oldsmobile Bravada
Isuzu Ascender
Buick Rainier

Flavor number six will be a Saab.

The long-wheelbase version of that car is really ridiculous-looking,
once you get a good look at it. Much too long to be so narrow. Looks
like it ought to sag in the middle. I call it the dachshund SUV.

Not much of a stretch, really. Your household income was probably a
large factor too.

They certainly are not going to send you a brochure for a Chevrolet Cavalier
or other vehicle with razor thin (or loss leader) profit margins. SUV's are
big cash cows and about the only profitable segment for GM.
