My OEM - 2000 EX V6 battery seems to be doing fine.

Depends where you live. Northern countries: car batteries live up to 6
years. Hot countries: 3 years.

Except for a bum battery replaced in my first month of ownership (6/01), the
battery in my '01 is still fine after 79K miles.

The battery on my Accord 1999 is on its 62nd month/75000 miles.
