Default Clock light

Minor, but annoying problem - the light has apparently burned out on the
clock in my 2000 Accord EX. Clock still works and no other lights are
out so I doubt it's a fuse. Any ball-park estimate what it might cost
to replace the clock (or light)? Is it a simple ordeal or will they
have to take apart the dashboard and likely cause other problems
putting it all back together?

Small flat screwdriver. At the bottom of the clock, pry gently.

That's it. The clock will come out in your hands.

Disconnect the two plugs, and replace the bulb. $2 from your dealer.

Don't have them do it; they;ll probably charge you $25 plus the bulb.
This is no harder than replacing the light bulb in a floor lamp.

Thanks - I'll give it a try.

You may want to put a credit card or something similar between the
screwdriver and the dash to prevent marring anything.

You know, I keep seeing that advice--but I've done this several times in
the course of screwing with the radio, and I've yet to see my very small
flat screwdriver by itself cause any problems.

If you don't have a particularly small screwdriver, or if you don't have
a particularly gentle hand, the credit card or rag idea is definitely a
good one.

Why would one use their finger between the screwdriver and the clock
assy?

You're one weird-looking dude if you can get your finger between the
clock and the dash in a sixth-gen Accord.
