seems that whenever the engine temperature is high the car won't start
unless i open the hood and let the air cool off the engine that usually takes about 5 minutes or so. in cooler weather it happens less but can still happen if car is started then shut off for 20 minutes or so (like running into the grocery store) and upon returning to the car it won't start. motor turns over lights come on just doesn't seem to have enough gas (but i don't want to rule out ignition/voltage troubles either) i seem to think it is a problem with the fuel injector's idle/choke; i guess it thinks that the engine is running (since temp is high) and it won't feed enough gas to cylinders. just my speculation. what else could it be? also, where does one put power transmission fluid? thanks, jeff |

There are several good web pages that describe your EXACT problem...
Just search 'Honda main relay'. Here's one of them http://members.rogers.com/john-ings/MainRelay.HTM You can resolder it yourself, or buy a new one. Thanks. Regarding stage performances: When everyone else has finished playing, you should not play any notes you have left over. - |

thanks curly and 'beets. i'll start to tackle this problem once i get out of
work. it's been driving me crazy since i bought it used back in 98. other than that, the car hasn't given me many problems (knock on wood). thanks again, jeff "'Curly Q. can i reach the ATF from a standing position or do i need to get to it from
underneath? thanks, Jeff "Misterbeets" <misterbeets@removehotmail.com> wrote in message news:%pevb.483$Gu1.133@nntp-post.primus.ca... > Does the exhaust smell like gas when it cranks? You really need an AutoZone > spark tester. The ATF opening is hidden down low, at front, on battery side. > > |
