Default 2002 CRV EX Tire warranty

Hello all,

How long is the warranty for on 2002 CRV Tires? I have about 27,500 and the
tires are just about shot. Is it early enough that I could get them
replaced free of charge?

thanks.

I've got 22,000 and they are in great shape, I rotate every other oil change
3500 miles (do all maint myself) If you can't prove tire rotation do not
expect much of a warranty.

the dealer has done tire rotation everytime it has been necessary. My
question is do I go back to the dealer or the manufacturer of the tire?

If you have the Bridgestone Duelet H/Ts, then the life of the tire is
just about up. They only have a 180 treadwear rating, which is abyssmal.
I replaced mine with Michelin Harmonys and they are worlds better.

What makes you think the OEM tires have **any** mileage warranty? Remember
that OEM tires are as cheap as it gets.

In the owner's manual, there should be information on all warranties
that apply to your vehicle. A tire warranty, if any, may be from the
tire company; information from the tire company about any such warranty
should have been included with your owner's manual.

I drive 99% on the freeway, and I put 87000 MILES on the original Firestone
FR680 tires on my 2001 Civic EX (bought 12/00) and they still had
serviceable tread.
Something is wrong with the way you are driving, or maintaining, your tires
if yours are shot at 27,500 miles.

Different kind of tires. Different driving cycle. Different location (it
does make a difference). Different vehicle. No accounting for average load.
Etc. There is Zero reason to expect correlation between your experience and
the original poster's.

Absolutely right, Dick, on all points. But I have never heard of even an
average set of tires wearing out the tread in 27K miles if properly
maintained (inflation, rotation, etc) and the vehicle alignment and
suspension system is good.
If this were the general case with the CRV OEM tires, I would expect a lot
more complaining about it.
