Hello all,
one of the most bugging things in my 2003 EXV6 Accord is the noise in salon when I drive on uneven road having some vibrations. I questions good overall workmanship of the car. I like the car but this sound drives me crazy. It's very difficult to identify the source. I suspect that it might be the windows but I am not sure. Depending on where you sit you hear it from different directions. Does anybody have this problem ? I wonder if can I claim this to be fixed under warranty ? Even if I cannot, I am so disturbed that I would rather pay extra to have it gone. |

It's a high-pitched squeak that's been hard to locate, but it appears to be caused by the floor-mounted section the console rubbing against the dash-mounted section at the junction point. I can hold the two together and stop the squeak, or cause it by alternately pushing on one section and pulling on the other. However, now what? I found the source, but I don't know what to do about it (the dealer is pretty far away). Casey |

I hope you have better luck! John |

I finally found that by pulling up on the leading edge of the transmission selector trim piece and putting a slim piece of adhesive backed felt bettween that trim piece and the console I was able to stop that one especially aggravating high pitch screech screech screech sound. Honda did a crummy job on interior sound issues on the 2003 redesign IMO. John |

After 7,000 miles and 9 months, I've yet to hear the first sound from my '03 EX V6 -- tighter than a drum, so far, although not driven on rough roads. Ron |

I have a 91 Accord EX and when I go above 65 Mph, I can hear some rattling
in the car and its hard to make out but probably its from the rear, and its like some metal rods rattling. Anybody any idea ? Thanks Pranav. Seems that started with the '98 redesign and has plagued Hondas ever since. Even Honda doesn't make Hondas like they used to. And don't even ASK about my red airbag light......................... ![]() |

Thanks, John. I'll have to try that. The screeching is driving me nuts. I find myself holding the console just to the left of the transmission selector just to silence it sometimes.
