Not as ugly as an Aztec, >but not far behind. LOL. I agree, the Element is ugly, but I think that was the idea. Absolute utilitarian. But I think Scion from Toyota will be, hands down, the fugliest thing on the road once it comes out. What's still so bad about Aztek is that the ever so intelligent folks at GM/Pontiac thought it actually was a good design. They actually thought that it looked good. That's what makes it worse. With the Element or the Scion, they both exude absolute utilitarian. "We don't care about looks" type of attitude with the cars. But Aztek was a car that they went out of their way to pretty it up and they still ended up with that. |

Try being more specific i.e. telling us what you're looking for and why it interests you? What would you be using it for? Transporting what? How many people? Animals? Sporting gear? etc. I have a 2002 CR-V, already looked at the Element at the dealer and I will be glad to help. |

The one down is the pathetic gas mileage. Believe it or not, the looks "kind of" grow on one, but as one for whom a vehicle is a utensil or tool, it's irrelevant. If it easily carries my bicycle to the start of the club rides, that's all I need. Art |

What did you expect, the same milleage as a Honda Civic? I find that my 2002 CR-V has a great gas milleage for all it can carry. Try any big SUV and you'll cry everytime you pull to a gas station. I drove some 2003 Ford Explorers and Expeditions. I would buy gas as often as with my CRV but instead of getting 10 galons, it was 20 or 25 each time. |
