This afternoon my 2000 Civic automatic suddenly seemed to give far
more resistance when shifting from P-N-D, etc. Especially when changing from drive to neutral to park. Previously this was a smooth, relatively resistance-free path- now I really have to push, and almos the hing of grinding. I had the car tuned-up less than two weeks ago, with all the fluids checked, and many of them replaced. What could this be connected to? What is the function of transmission fluid here? Thanks, Ray. |

I think there's something physically stuck in the shift mechanism under the
car. The fluids wouldn't have anything to do with it. Crawl under the car with the motor off and have someone shift it-maybe you will see the culprit. Monty |
