the metal fuel line that leads from the gas tank to the fuel filter
has a stripped nut that screws the fuel line to the fuel filter. How can I fix that without replacing the whole fuel line( gas tank - fuel filter). |

You could use a pipe cutter, cut off the flare, remove the damaged nut,
replace it, make a new flare, and voila! Won't be easy since it's a tight area to work, but will work.
