Folks, This wknd I went camping to the mountains. From my cabin to the main road there is a 500 ft. long driveway which is relatively steep but nothing my car could not handle in the past This time however, when I tried to get the car going up the driveway it drove a little bit and then the engine just kept reving up but the car stop going uphill. No matter how much I hit the pedal it did not move. Finally I had to drive the car back to a flat surface and get some motion and only then it was able to scale the steep driveway. The car is an automatic. Can someone tell me what might be the problem? 1991 Honda Accord Wagon, automatic, 103k |

I'll get static for this, but take the vehicle to a dealership
of transmission shop and have it analyzed and repaired before you do more damage, WBMA. I suspect, other than low fluid, the problem is not something someone in a NG can readily analyze or suggest an easy fix. mike hunt parkbox@REMOVETHIShotmail.com wrote: > > Folks, > This wknd I went camping to the mountains. This particular year has a tendency to get stuck on a certain higher
gears, which usually displays a blinking shift light. This means that accelerating or going uphill from a stop will be sluggish but does not affect high-speed hill climb. Cure: replace ecu capacitor(s) if shift light is noticed. Have T-fluid checked warmed, usually. T-fluid will not pump if screen is clogged, particularly, metal fragment. Analyze dipstick fluid for metallic particles. Koji > This wknd I went camping to the mountains.
