Earlier posts were talking about the Accord drain plug. Does anyone know
where the 98 Civic coolant drain plug is? I did see a large plug right
above the oil filter in the rear of the engine. Is that is?

front of engine, behind the exhaust manifold.

yes, that's it, if you remove the oil filter you can see it easily.

NOOOO! This is a Civic, not an Accord. Like Mista Bone said it's on the
front of the engine behind the exhaust manifold.

No, the civic has 2 drains plugs, one on the front under the radiator (I do
not remember the name of this plastic valve) and the bolt on the back of the
engine, above the oil filter. That's the way my 98 civic coupe is.

That's interesting. Looks like they moved it in the '96 models.

Thanks, That was it. I changed the coolant yesterday and quit a bit came
out of the block drain plug. It is indeed in the back by the oil filter. It
was really tight. I needed a breaker bar to crack it loose.
