I modified my 2000 Honda civic for use as a toad, to pull behind my motorhome.
The brackets to hold the components for the tow-bar on the Honda are mounted
under the front of the car ahead of the front wheels. My problem is these
brackets make the front of the car to low and it scrapes on these brackets on
speed bumps or curbs. I want to raise the car an inch or two in the front. I
can't find anybody who knows anything about raising the suspension. I don't
want to use those spring inserts; I want something more permanent and stable. I
understand when this is done the wheel alignment will need to be done again.
Any suggestions?

Since you're towing it, you should tie the rubber inserts to the springs to make
them stay better. Then you would remove them when you drive the car. Driving a car
with higher front end is not as stable.

Another option is to ask the shop about adjustable shocks with threaded body like
Ground Control. I know those shocks would lower the ride height, but I'm not sure
if they have sufficient threads to raise the height.
