I just got my set of new KYB AGX shocks and I unboxed them thinking
that I will adjust the rebound stiffness to the appropriate position before I give the shocks my mechanic to install them on my car..but I am stumped now.. I cant find the adjustment slot anywhere on the shocks ! These shocks for the 5th gen base prelude are the 4 position adjustable shocks so I am guessing the adjustment slot should be at the top of the shocks..The shocks came with a screwdriver to use so I can turn the slotted button or whatever it is thats supposed to be on the top of the shock.. There seems to be some kind of metal cap/button on the top about 1 cm across. Is this some kind of a dust cap or protection for the actual adjustment mechanism underneath? How do I get this cap off (It is painted over in red and doesnt seem amenable to being popped open with finger nails..).. Anyone been through this process before and can help me out? thanks Karthick |

The instructions tell you how to adjust the shock assuming the
adjustment slot/knob is visible.. Problem is I cant see the knob.... the instructions dont talk about any dust cap to remove etc .... It looks like the adjustment is at the top of the rod (and accessible from the top after installation). Are you sure this isn't a cap to protect the threads prior to installation? Is the nut below the cap, and if so, can you take it off without removing the cap? |

I saw that diagram when I was on their site.. the adjustment should be
on the top but there is a metal cap on top...i guess I should try to remove the cap and see what is underneath...
