You can normally just remove the cross bolt from the strut fork and
disconnect the lower ball joint and the strut assembly will move to the side to let the cv assembly drop out. The procedure has been described here several times over the years and IIRC involved using a socket and a hammer to push the rotor off the bolts. Do you need to get the axles out for the rotor replacement? I don't recall. If you do need to get the axle out, the bottom ball joint is a bitch to get out - difficult to get a jaw type puller to stay straight and not bend the stud. Some people have said the upper ball joint is easier to separate and allows the axle to be removed - not sure if it works for all models but again, IIRC, for the Accord it works.
