I have an new 03 Accord. Dealer says if I put tint on the windows and the
"window actuators (or maybe "regulators"?) go out that it isn't covered by the warranty. I can't find anything in all of my paperwork that states this. Service manager said he really thought it was about older models and crappy parts. Sounds like BS to me. |

By "actuators" he might mean the electric motors? Are the windows manual, or electric? In either case, window tint will not cause the failure of the mode of transport that the glass uses to go up and down. The dealer is blowing smoke, and hoping that you are dumb enough to fall for his BS. Avoid him at all costs, and definitely don't bother with anything that is verbal. Get it in writing...if he won't write it down, or give you printed material to support his claim, then it is BS. Research the Magnusson-Moss Act. It was passed because of scum like your dealer. |
