Hi folks,
I recently noticed a creaking noise in my '03 CR-V. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the vehicle, and I tend only to notice it when doing small maneuvers (e.g. going into/reversing out of a parking spot, 3- point turns, etc.) Any thoughts as to what the problem might be? I have to bring the car in anyway to have the recall issues addressed, so I suppose I can ask them to look at it then, but I'm just curious. Thanks, Martin |

I have a 2003 CR-V and haven't experienced that problem with my vehicle.
I did have a loaner CRV which I thought I may have heard something like that, but since it wasn't mine I didn't pay much attention. My CRV was built in England, the loaner was a Japanese build. Another possiblity is noise from the disc brake pads. They tend to make a click sound when you change direction (forward to reverse and vice versa). There's a TSB on this issue. The dealer will change the pad clips to eliminate the problem. The manual is wildly wrong about the suggested first change. Hang out at some of the CRV forums to see that they agree. Usually noticed most on tight turns / parallel parking. Regarding stage performances: When everyone else has finished playing, you should not play any notes you have left over. - |
