Your insurance company should be able to tell which model/engine
size/trim level from the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). The VIN is stamped on the engine, on the dash by the windshield (windscreen), and many other places in your car. The VIN number is broken down in the Honda service manual, perhaps your local Honda dealer can help you decode it. The service manuals are usually region specific so they may not be able to tell you about Japanese models. As a last resort, you may have to call/write Honda Japan directly to find out. About the engine size, you should be able to read the engine code engraved on the engine block. It is usually in plane view. The 5th Gen VTEC engines reads H22A4 for the 2.2l VTEC. Its a bit more complicated than that the local dealer has no records of
imports, also the insurance company can only find engine sizes 2156cc and 2157cc for imported preludes and as my Registration Document states that it is a 2150cc then they wont insure me. All is not lost though as after reading your post, searched on my engine code F22b, seems that it most definitely is a 2156cc model, the Registration document being a misprint. .. . . . .Thanks.
