I have a '94 accord 4-door with 145000 miles. The car runs
absolutely great, but recently the mileage has gone down 10-15% (from 28 city to 24, 33 highway to 29). I've verified this over several tankfuls. There's no noticeable difference in performance, acceleration, engine smoothness, etc. Nothing appears to have changed except the mileage. Anyone have any suggestions on what to look for? TIA Jim Garrison jhg@acm.org |

The problem was the O2 sensor. Although I think that my mileage at the time was worse than the difference you are reporting. -- Neo. |

Sometimes you can feel a loss of power but the mileage drop will also be noticeable. You might be able to smell a stuck brake system (burnt asbestos - kinda like a slipping clutch). --- Bror Jace |
