Oh, the memories. ;-) Out of curiosity, I checked his web pages and they are no more (WARNING - following two links contain multiple pop-ups): The Vtec Reality Check http://members.home.net/crush/reality-check Over 45,300 people educated! Honda Civic vs. Ford Mustang FAQ http://members.home.net/crush ======================= However, Greasy Crush's web pages are still up as a reminder of the good ol' days... New Greasy Crush Web Site www.geocities.com/greasycrush New Greasy Crush VTEC Reality Check www.geocities.com/greasycrush/realitycheck.htm How I miss his rants about his POS 80's something Civic. I'd be interested to know if he ever finished computer school and was able to buy himself the Ford Probe he always wanted. -- Mark '99 Civic Si |

He was something else, no doubt. Completely incapable of reason. |

Hmm. I believe you might have misunderstood the arguments of the day (and my post about it was confusing). When Honda introduced the '99-'00 Civic Si coupe in mid-'99 (bought mine in Sept. of that year), the ramh troll known as Crush spent lots of time ragging on it and we countered those arguments (though I may have taken it a bit too seriously). "Greasy Crush" used satire to make fun of Crush's anti-VTEC/Si web pages. If Crush's pages were still up, you'd see what I mean. ==================== Anyway, Crush if you're out there, where's the warped sheet metal??? My car is 4 years old with 60k miles and still no warped metal! BTW, my Civic has given me not ONE single problem, though I do have an expensive servicing coming up. It still looks and drives like new (amazingly tight). The only thing I've done to it is replaced the factory speakers and added an amp (hidden next to the spare tire) so the car looks exactly as it did the day I drove it off the lot (minus 3 small door dings). It's been a really good car and we've decided to keep this one for a long time. -- Mark '99 Civic Si > b Chip |
