I just bought one last week (plain EX) and I'm not too happy, either.
I filled it up and then drove about 120 miles over the weekend, and then topped it off to get a quick average. It was all city driving and a lot of hot-weather idling, but the 11.8 mpg average was not too good to see. I better get at least 15 in the city! Or paying thousands more for a hybrid vehicle, than a
similarly equipped standard vehicle, then claming to be 'saving' money because it get more fuel mileage. LOL Actually, I never quite expected to quite recover the hybrid premium. However, at current high gas prices it looks like I will. and even go some way to paying for the extras I probably would not have paid for in a standard Civic. |
