stock shifter does just fine. Besides with a short shifter most drivers get
too agressive and end up destroying the synchros. If I can out shift the tranny with a stock shifter, why goto a short shifter? I do have a Edelbrock shifter on my other car, only because the oring bushings rotted away. -- Charles Tague 93 Honda Civic DX HB 1.6L SOHC VTEC 14.85 @ 89 mph,1.98 60 ft. you end up shifting faster than the tranny can handle.
With a short shifter, you hand must move at about 2/3's speed as compared to a stock shifter. Most people end up shifting at their normal speed, forcing the synchros, which wears them out very quickly. -- Charles Tague 93 Honda Civic DX HB 1.6L SOHC VTEC 14.85 @ 89 mph,1.98 60 ft. I have to agree with those who like them. I put one in my wagon and enjoy the shorter throw. -Speedy Pete |
