I wouldn't bother. Little bits of dirt get under the edges and the movement
of the bra causes noticeable scratches on the paint. What also happens is that
since some of your paint is going to be shielded from the sun, over time you
will have two shades of paint on your car. IMHO, bras cause more problems
than they solve.

Don't listen to these lying SOBs! I had a bra for 10 years and it was the best
investment I ever made. The paint didn't "cloud" nor scratch. As long as you
install it securely, it'll keep the covered part in better shape than the rest
of the body!!!!!!!!

Bra's have been around for years. They fade away and then come
back for another generation to discover they suck. I remember
them in the fifties. Your experience apparently is different,
but I never knew of anybody that ever bought one again after they
saw how they 'sanded' the paint when dirt gets under as one
drives. But it's your car, your money, spend it where you wish.

Not so. If you use the nosebra *properly* it should keep the nose of
your car chip free. The key to proper use is to primarily use it when
you take long trips. The damage to the paint happens when the nosebra
sits on the car too long. Dirt will collect in sections underneath the
bra and act like sandpaper on the paint. This is worse if you have it
on while driving in rain where even more dirt and grime will collect.

I've owned an '86 Acura Integra using the nosebra for over 10 years.
The front end was nearly chip free when I sold it. My former '96
Accord's nose and hood were chip free after five years of use (sold the
Accord). Currently I use a nosebra on my '01 Acura Integra GSR and '91
Acura NSX. The nose of my 12 year old NSX is virtually chip free. I
can only count one or two little rock chips. Others in our NSX club
are stunned that the nose is so clean and the original paint.

The key here is to use the nosemask ONLY when necessary. Around town,
you don't go fast enough to really need one. Yeah, it takes time to
put the nosebra on and off but it's only a few minutes.

What it boils down to is this. If you're the kind of person that
doesn't want to fuss with installing and removing a nosebra all the
time, the suggestion is not to use one at all. You'll do more damage
to the nose of the car by leaving the nosebra on for prolonged periods
of time.

Or even better, keep an eye out and buy a bra when a bargain happens along.
Then wait until you are ready to sell the car and install the bra. It will
cover a multitude of sins by that time, and you can tout it as a "plus"!

Sigh... that sounds like me then. Especially in winter... when I'm sure
it's no fun to put it on or remove it at -15 or -20 celsius!!

One thing: do you find that you have to pull it very hard at the ends
when you are putting it onto the car?

Well, congratulations on your dedication, though... (and on owning an
NSX!! )

When you get a new nosebra, it will be difficult to put it on and may
require a lot of stretching. The best thing to do is to get the
nosemask on the car and then leave it exposed in sunlight. The heat
will make it expand a bit making it a little easier to put on the the
next time. After several uses, it will be easy to put on.

Yeah, I'm dedicated and take care of my cars. Real fortunate to have
an NSX.

Big deal. I saw one go for $15K, recently in an auction.

What brand of bra have you used? Do you just get the one from Acura?

I use factory OEM nosemasks since they fit the best. In my experience,
I found the aftermarket nosemasks fit not to be as good as OEM.
