Hello, all!
I am looking at replacing the now-worn and lackluster stock Dueler H/Ts on my 2002 CR-V with better tires. After doing a lot of reading, there are only a few good alternatives, and for me it is between the two aforementioned tires. Does anyone know why the Harmonys are being used on CR-Vs? They really seem geared toward passenger cars...understanding that the CR-V is a passenger car that is just a little too high, what is the respective difference between the two? Are they both equally safe in terms of rollovers, etc.? Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer. Put Michelin X-ONE's on your CRV and you'll be happy.
Very quiet and a very nice ride! Use the std size 205/70/15. "Drew D. For my CRV 02, I will use either X-One 225/70/15 or Harmony 215/65/15, I
haven't decided yet :-| Last month Michelin had $50 rebate on a set of four tires, maybe I will wait for next offer. Sams club has a good price on these tires (around $110 ea) plus $9 for installation, balance, rotation and road hazard. $1 dispossal fee. That sounds like a good deal to me, just call NTB and see how much they want for all the package. If the standard size is 205/70/15, you're way off on diameter... 4.2% - dunno about the possibility of rubbing. >Last month Michelin had $50 rebate on a set of four tires, maybe I will wait >for next offer. If you had a flat, and used the wrong sized spare to drive several hundred kilometers, you might find your rear differential TOASTED when you get there. That's why the manual is pretty clear about rotating your tires religiously from front to back. It also confuses your ABS computer.
