Hi,
I bought this car for my 17 year old a year ago. She has the only remote lock/unlock transmitter, and she locks it that way. I have a spare key which really does me no good if the alarm is set from her remote. This morning she had the car parked right in front of me, and I had to open it with the key. To roll it back...I had to put the key in the ignition and listen to the alarm go off while rolling out of the way. Thank God my driveway is on a decline where her car was. I'm sure my neighbors appreciated the noise at 5:40AM this morning. Does anyone know if it can be programmed to "authorize" key entry as well as keyless....afterall the way that I look at it is, is if you have a key - then you are "authorized" to not only get in, but crank the car. If I have to I devise something such as a hidden toggle switch that disables the alarm and energizes the series relay that enables/disables cranking. |
