4 cyl, 1997 Odyssey in Canada. The Chilton's manual seems to indicate
that they're 7mm locknuts, and they looked very small when I had it open
a few months ago to check that clearances were sufficient. Rather than
opening the valve cover twice, can somebody confirm that a 7mm (with a
sightly long handle) is the one I should pick up? My only 7mm wrench is
a cheezy, short WunHungLow combination wrench, and I like to have the
right tool to do the job . . . . Thanks.

P.S. I'm happy enough with the Chilton's manual, but yes, Helm's is
better, I know. :-)

you should not play any notes you have left over. -

Sounds unlikely. I think all of the ones I have ever seen on Hondas
are 10mm, even my '74 Civic.

they are 10mm on every one i've seen in the oddy. it may be a 7mm nut
but the hex is 10mm

That sounds right to me too . . . Tell me, do you like to use a longer
handled 10 mm wrench? I'm thinking 10 inches or a foot would make the
comfort / accuracy just about right.
