Default Distributor bearing and seal sizes

Hi,
I have Civic '92 and have some problems with the distributor.
There is oil leak and some noice (from bearing I supose).
Honde offers only the assembly.
I want to change only bearing, seal and O-ring.
Can anybody tell me the sizes of this parts, so I can look for them
from somewhere else.

Thank You,
LZ

If you've got an LX or DX the distributor housing is only $100. (or a lot
less if you buy online).

If you are leaking oil from the distributor by the cylinder head, there is
an o-ring at the base of the distributor between the housing and the head
(at the end of the camshaft). It can be easily replaced by removing the
distributor. The o-ring should be available from your local dealer for less
than $2.

If you are leaking oil into your distributor there is a seal at the bottom
of the distributor housing can be replaced by removing and disassembling the
the distributor. This can be done in 2-4 hours. The part can be purchased
from any Worldpac distributor, many of whom advertise on the web. The seal
is about $6-7. Or you can buy the housing with the seal in it for $100+
from Honda.

If you are hearing a screaming noise coming from the distributor that could
be the shaft bearing. It can also be replaced by removing and disassembling
the distributor. Search the web, somebody posted good instructions for
doing this on an early '90's accord. The bearing is also available from a
Worldpac distributor. It may also be a standard size sealed NACHI bearing
that is available from any bearing house stocking that brand. If you are
going to do the bearing, replace the seal, too.

Good luck.
