Default Anti Theft stereo on 1992 Accord

I recently purchased a 92 Accord EX. The previous owner gave me the
card with the code and serial for the stereo and when I 1st bought it
I was able to enter it just fine. I started having the notorious can't
start in hot weather problem, so I replaced the main relay. After I
reconnected the battery and turned on the stereo, it says code,
however when I try to enter the code nothing happens. The preset
buttons don't light up or anything. Has anybody else had this problem
and no a fix for it?

Thanks,

Jason

Remove negative battery terminal for a few seconds and reconnect WITHOUT
SPARKING too much. It scrambles things so your radio doesn't do a 'clean
boot'. Pepsi in the selector buttons will prevent the code entering
properly. Be aware of that too.

Regarding stage performances: When everyone else has finished playing,
you should not play any notes you have left over. -
