Default Replacing the stereo?

How difficult is it to change out the stereo head unit in a 1990 Honda
Accord?

Instructions on-line, somewhere?

Thanks,

If I remember, you start by pulling out the ash tray and removing some
screws that hold the radio in place. The unit should then slip out.
I may be thinking of the '89 Accord though. bob

Default Re: Replacing the stereo?

i did a '93 accord a couple months ago (speakers & all) in a couple
hours. have another body help so you don't have to run around the car to
remove screws from the other side.
nothing i saw showed how to take the console off if it's a MANUAL
tranny, so getting that out of the way took, by far, the longest time.
i'm really glad i did it, car sounds as good as the home stereo now.
crutchfield's has very good instructions - www.crutchfield.com - and
their help desk is actually helpful.
