Do any of you guys use this for your car and if so, can you please
recommend a good brand to use in my Pilot? Someone told me that STP stuff is good and also told me that Porsche crowd likes Techtroline(sp?). As well, how often or at what interval should this stuff be used? TIA. |

The only two that I'd be somewhat comfortable using would be Techron Concentrate (from Chevron) and BG44K, and even these, like others already mentioned, you shouldn't be using unless you really have to (poor idle, uneven acceleration, etc.). If you have to use it, do it just before your next oil change because these things are known to contaminate engine oil. Cheers, Pete |

Try some premium Shell or some Sunoco Gold and take it for a high speed
(high rpm) drive on the highway. My old 1985 Cutlass Supreme V8 seems to like all the various additive I used to poor into engine and oil pan. However, I would never put that stuff into my Honda. That depends on the relative quantities of each and whether the isopropanol is the azeotrope or anhydrous. The isopropanol is miscible with both water and petroleum distillates so - yes, in most cases they will mix to a single "solution". The point of the "drygas" is indeed to combat freezing temps.
