My 2003 Civic looks like a catfish, with the aerial sticking out of the roof just behind the center of the windshield. Didn't General Motors try antenna-in-glass in the 70's and give up after a year or so? |

It worked fine, but not as well as a mast-type antenna. However, no in-glass antenna has ever been broken off by a vandal or in a car wash! ![]() It's really a matter of the application. I doubt that the little shorty antennas (like the ones on VWs) are much better than the in-glass antenna. |
