Default Odyssey & Car Wash

Should I take off the antenna before driving to a car wash? All my previous
cars had a power antenna, and I don't know what to do with my Odyssey's
antenna......

It is always good practice to remove the antenna, if it cannot be
power-retracted. Unscrew it, and put it back in place after the wash is
completed. Car wash operators have asked me to unscrew a Volkswagen roof
mount antenna, which is only about ten inches in length. Better safe than
sorry.

It unscrews. I usually take it off, because my preferred car wash has a
big sign disclaiming responsibility for antennas.

It usually goes on the dash while the van's going through the wash, and
reinstalled just before I drive off. It's quite easy to do.

I only go to the water jet car wash. So I don't have to worry about the
antena on my CR-V.
I'd never go to a car wash with brushes. Just imagine what one rock stuck in
the brushes can do to the paint.
