Yer gonna have to figure if he's gay or straight and what leverage that
might bring to the "situation".:-)

Alternatively you might consider a nice pair of wool worsted trousers.

I'd still really rather fix the seat and call back to my initial post
in which I requested assisted in find discontinued fabric.

Have you visited the wrecking yards yet? If you're hell
bent on repairing it, cut the entire back from a doner seat and
patch it in.

That is something I've been considering. They're just in areas that
scare me.

unless its a "pick a part" , full service wreckers will usually only sell
the whole seat.

Yeah well my son got a ticket on his 2nd stop. My daughter's been stopped
at least 4 times and still no ticket.

<www.hondaautomotiveparts.com> still shows the entire seat-back cover for
~$135. Of course it may not actually be available... or maybe the cost is
too high?

compared to finding the material, and having it custom tailored? id call
that a bargain.

now, $600 for a new carpet for a 98cx? thats pricey. i ended up taking mine
out, scrubbed with detergent, and hosed it down. looks like new now

I wasn't able to find what you were looking at. I did get a swatch of
the alleged original fabric. The texture and weave is the same, but
the color is really dark. Now, I know 12 years will do a lot to the
color, but even when I dug out spots that really aren't exposed to the
sun it was dark. I'm iffy on going for it now. I suppose I could buy
it and leave it out on the balcony for a month...
