My dad owns a DeLorean and I can tell you the doors are
only part of it's uniqueness, it's was put together like a Pinto
on a Friday.

I would take the $8,000 and drive the car as is but it worth about
$5,000 less if you resell it.

A Co-worker's father has one too... He keeps a fire extinguisher in
the cabin because they tend to catch fire. Learn something new every
day.

That's quite a recommendation!

I have a friend who's got 2 of them.

Too bad about the poor quality - the gull wing doors were copied from
the Mercedes 300SL, a real classic.

They were meant for time travel not everyday use :-).

Right - parts are cheaper in the past, but you can't
trust the car to bring you back to present day though !!!
