My 1996 Honda Accord EX 4 cyl with 114,000 miles and auto transmission is
running well. However, the gear shift makes a grinding sound when going from Park to Drive. The transmission appears to be find but does the gear shifter need WD-40? How would I lubricate this area? Not much room to get in there. Thanks. |

You cannot drive an auto transmission with no oil. The oil pressure is used
to shift gears, no oil - no shifting. It is still a good idea to check your transmission oil from time to time though.
