Because 2 wheels hit a curb the wheel alignment is too far out for the
normal tyre fitters machine m/c to reset it Took it to a friendly smash repairer and he said probably no chassis damage so he sent it to tyre company that does steering/suspension repairs I have a $10000 + quote to replace steering [box power]drive shafts, 2 wheels {alloy]bearings and most suspension components the car still drives fine but steering wheel is rotated 1/4 turn to the right, tyres scrub on shiny floors and steering growls on full lock at slow speed. Parts delivery is up to 2 weeks. so the question is 1. would u drive it carefully slowly local only 2. is there a cheap way to get it made safe so it can be traded in? - cost of repairs below write off market value 15-20000? 3. Which guide do insurers use for market value? Car - Honda odyssey 1996 auto 6 seats |
