Last night, I was driving down a street at about 15 mph when my car
stalled. I drifted to the side of the road, put the car in park, cranked it up again, and then it ran fine the rest of the night. I commuted into work today and, again, it was fine. Does anyone have any idea why my car stalled and what I should do about it? Maybe it's as simple as needing a tune up? Details: 2000 Honda Accord ~75k miles it was drizzling rain last night the car has never given any problems Thanks! Clint |

It's possible that you got some bad gas or gas mixed with water. It causes problems like the one that you had until you use the bad gas. There was a gas station in my home town that had a leaking storage tank. Water entered into the tank after every major rain storm. Almost everyone in town learned quickly to avoid that station and they eventually went out of business. You should also open the hood and make sure you don't see any bare wires. On your next tune-up, tell the mechanic about the problem--he can also check for shorts in any wire or bare wires. -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIBERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice. I agree with the other poster however I would like to point out that if you
are tuning up your car per the schedule in your owner's manual then that would not even have been a question to us in this forum.....my point is that I hope you are doing the regular maintenance and not waiting until things start to break before you start worrying.
