Default 2005 Pilot headlights

Any way to defeat the "always on" condition of the headlights..?

always on? I have a new 05 Pilot and you can leave them on and they turn off
when you lock the car, but I dont use that

They go on when the car is started, even if they're switched off. A
few years ago, several manufacturers were doing this, but I thought
they all stopped it.

Where are you located..? Maybe it's a state or regionsl thing. I'm in

D-oh... I learned the cause. I called the dealer. The car has the
"Daytime running lights" option. I didn't know that, and it can't be
switched off.
