Much depends on how 'on the ball' that particular dealer is, and/or the individual employee/s working there. Of course this kind of crap isn't limited to Honda... Imagine a no-name trying to get one. If a thief is bent on taking a specific car, enough to go to the trouble of getting a key made, there are a lot of easier and more anonymous ways to accomplish that. Of course, even the tow-truck thieves are susceptible to Lo-Jack. Mike |

No? >> I was in my dealer's parts department yesterday and on the counter there was a notice from the local PD stating that thieves have been stealing cars by having dealers cut keys using the VIN. So, this would lead me to believe that it not only is possible, but has been a problem. WW |
