I had a 1988 Prelude once which I liked in many ways - especially its
supremely reliable engine and the car's sleek looks. In fact I think it was one of the best-looking cars of all time. It was a 4WS model, but I wasn't all that keen on the 4WS because it seemed unsafe especially on concrete roads when it tended to wander unexpectedly whenever it hit an undulation in the road surface. The other thing I didn't like was the rust-prone sills and wheel arches. It started rusting out after about 12 years. I'm wondering if later models were improved in the handling and rust-proofing dept. I'm contemplating buying a later model - but not too recent because I'm tightly strapped for cash. I'll be looking at 10-yr old model or something like that. Many thanks Rick |
