Hello All,

Wondering if anyone of you has experienced an intermitten panel light
problem with an Honda Accord 2000 or similar.

I have noticed for a few months now that when the weather is cold the
panel dash light seems to work when I turn it on initially, but as the
car warms up the panel light stops working.

During the summer months the panel light does not come on at all.

Any ideas is greatly appreciated!

My wife's integra does the same thing from time to time. Not sure if
your Accord has the same thing, but the integra has a dimming knob that
is tied to a potentiometer. Instead of replacing it, once in a while I
shoot some contact cleaner in it to make it go away for a while.

If you don't care for the dimming, you could get rid of it permanently.
Take the middle wire off the pot and solder it to the pot that is tied
to 12V. Your dimming pot will not work anymore, but at least the light
will stay on.
